Lafayette, LA

Celebrate Endangered Species Day at UL Lafayette Science Museum with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service on Saturday, May 16 from 10am-1:30pm. We’ll have interactive games, hands-on activities, demonstrations and games all about Louisiana wildlife conservation success stories. Endangered Species Day marks the anniversary of the Endangered Species Act, which was enacted in 1973 to establish protections for fish, wildlife and plants listed as threatened or endangered and plan for their recovery.
STEM Saturday activities are included with regular museum admission. Activities are open-ended allowing visitors to come and go while touring exhibits and the planetarium. Best for elementary and middle school ages, but older kids and adults can have fun learning something new or helping younger children. #halliburtongiving
