Great Meteor of 1957

The Great Meteor of 1957

On the night of March 15, 1957, people in Acadiana and throughout the South were startled by a brilliant fireball meteor, so bright that planetarium visitors still talk about it over 60 years later! Did you see it? Did you hear about it from someone who did? Please use this form to tell us your story (it's OK to skip questions if you don't remember the answer!). Even at this late date, we'd like to preserve as many accounts from observers as we can.
